Her smocked spring dress is so appropriate for her uncle’s wedding this weekend. It is a bonus that one of the wedding colors is yellow. Although she is not in the wedding, this dress would be adorable and very appropriate as a flower girl dress.  The dress is made from pale yellow Imperial Batiste, smocked to the waist, using pattern #146-L.  The simple smocking design is accented with pink buttons and will soon be available for purchase.
For those who are wondering, I am mother of the groom and couldn’t be more thrilled!

She has grown into a real beauty! It doesn’t hurt that Nana is a wonderful designer, also!

Could she be any prettier? Her hair style is one of my favorites for a little girl. I put Emily’s hair up like that when she was little and now put Rowen’s hair up the same way. I have always called it a Pollyanna Emily added to our grandchildren on Mother’s Day by blessing us with our 3rd granddaughter, Rory Lou. Another girl to sew for!
