Something elegant for baby boy.  For those who have boys and grandsons it’s easy to feel left out when it comes to hand sewing.  Having had three sons myself before a daughter, I know that feeling.  So with the challenge of not getting “frilly” I went for a more tailored look.  Blue and ecru linen, neat rows of tucks and hand embroidery including the Pin Stitching on the collar is all that was needed for a fabulous bubble.  One of my favorite features is the blue collar.  Blue looks so good next to babies face and makes those blue eyes even bluer!
I used pale blue and ecru Handkerchief Linen and pattern #126 for the bubble.

Is there a specific “name” for the technique used on this collar? Are instructions given on how to accomplish it documented somewhere? Just beautiful and timeless! ????
