With Christmas decorations starting to appear in the stores, it is time to start thinking of Christmas sewing.  This is one of my favorites and is a simple design for those new to smocking.  It also happens to be the dress that I made for my granddaughter’s first Christmas.
The dress was made out of red micro check gingham using pattern #143 and is smocked with a design that reminds me of snowflakes.  I smocked the dress while visiting in Arizona and did a few test stitches to make sure that Mommy liked the design.  Click here for the Free Design.
